After cleaning this section of track, I tipped it on its side and tapped it on the table. I was shocked at the amount of shiny grit that was on the table from the rubber. I have decided to only use the rubber to remove spills of paint, glue, etc., that has fallen on the track. Any help with cleaning my track is much appreciated.
Drag Strip - a true scale 1/4 mile in Scalextric Sport. I've had a big box of straights set aside for a 1/32 drag strip for some time. The big problem has been finding somewhere to run it as I decided it had to be exactly to scale which meant 41.25 feet plus a substantial run off. It also helps (I believe) if you leave the track section submerged for a
Dunk the track in the vinegar. If you’re cheap like me, you’ll wanna use less vinegar, so you’re gonna have to flip the tracks after a bit. Better to use a container that can accommodate the track lying flat, and enough vinegar to submerge all the track in one go if you can. Let it sit for an hour or so.
The cars in the Micro Scalextric and My First Scalextric sets are really robust and trouble-free. They are fitted with traction magnets which keep them stuck to the track. They may fly off on the corners if you are using the 100% setting – that means you are going too fast! Remember, fast on the straights and the loops, slower on the corners.
4. If it is going to be permanent you have to be sure that the track layout is going to stay interesting and works for all lanes. 5. Make sure you colour code the wires properly so you know which
