Sofor 120V Distribution, the Utilization voltage is 115V; for 240V it is 230V, for 208V it is 200V, for 480V it is 460V and for 600V it is 575V. People however are not swift on the change though, so LOTS of people still refer to residential as being 110/220, or 115/230 or 120/240 (inset joke from the movie "The Money Pit" where Michel
Iknow this is an old post, but there really is a very easy solution. Easy Solution: buy a fused transformer that takes 110/120V 60Hz input and changes it to European 220/240V with 60Hz output. Mine has a standard European plug for its output. Works fine-the tools can tolerate the frequency difference just fine.
110volts vs. 220 volts. These are the 2 distinct types of power sources you will find in your home. The important difference is the amount of potential energy, or voltage, the socket is able to supply to the device plugged into it. Just like with 110 volt, 220 volt devices may alternatively be referred to as 230 or 240 volt. Like the 110
Step1. Look at the outlet and see if it looks different than the other standard outlets in your home. Standard wall outlets are approximately 4 1/2 inches high and 2 3/34 inches wide with two openings for two prongs. A 240V outlet is larger than a standard outlet, normally 4 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide, with either a single three
Thats not big difference between 50Hz and 60Hz, but it's critical for some appliances, like oven, CD player etc. Hence we are here to supply the Frequency Converter for converting between 50Hz and 60Hz, for both single phase (100v, 110v, 115v, 120v, 220v, 230v, 240v) and three phase (220v, 240v, 380v, 400v, 420v, 440v, 460v, 480v), customize input
Aspart of the NEMA’s efforts to standardize electrical configurations, the NEMA chart was introduced. This chart is a tabular representation of the different plugs and receptacles according to the NEMA standards, as illustrated below. The chart above displays the variety of plugs and receptacles for 125ac and 250Vac single-phase locking

Inthose cases, you can use a transformer to change the local voltage into the one your appliance expects, but I advise: don't. There are a lot of voltage transformers out there. None of them get
